Complete guide to using Pattern Generator
Pattern Generator is a tool for creating seamless repeating patterns and designs for your projects. Supports 9 pattern types: dots, stripes, grid, triangles, zigzag, waves, crosses, noise, and minimalistic shapes.
Step 1: Select pattern type
Choose a pattern type from available options: Polka Dots, Stripes, Grid, Triangles, Zigzag, Waves, Crosses, Noise, or Minimalistic Shapes. Each type has its own features and settings.
Step 2: Configure parameters
Configure pattern parameters: tile size (128, 256, 512, 1024px), background and element colors, density, element size, rotation, and randomness. Some types have additional settings: direction for stripes, amplitude and frequency for waves, shape for dots, line width for grid.
Step 3: Preview and export
Preview the pattern on a large field (1000×800px) with automatic tiling. Make sure the pattern is seamless and looks good when repeated. Then download the pattern in the desired format: PNG (lossless), JPG (compressed), or WebP (modern format).
How to use Pattern Generator: step-by-step guide

Frequently asked questions about Pattern Generator
What formats are available for export?
Three formats are available: PNG (lossless, with transparency, ideal for web design), JPG (lossy compression, smaller file size, without transparency), WebP (modern format with good compression and transparency support). Choose format based on your needs.
How to save pattern for reuse?
Use the 'Save' button to add pattern to history. History stores up to 10 recent patterns in browser's localStorage. You can select any pattern from history and apply its settings. You can also use ready-made presets for quick access to popular styles.
What tile size to choose?
Tile size affects detail and file size: 128px — for simple patterns and space saving, 256px — optimal balance for most cases, 512px — for detailed patterns, 1024px — for maximum detail (large file size). It's recommended to use 256px or 512px for most projects.
