The 'Emotions and Color' tool helps you find the perfect color palette for your mood. It uses color psychology principles to create harmonious color combinations that match various emotional states.
Step 1: Select emotion
Choose one of 8 preset emotions (Joy, Calm, Energy, Nostalgia, Confidence, Anxiety, Romance, Inspiration) or enter your own emotion in the text field. The tool automatically identifies similar emotions and creates a mixed palette.
Step 2: Adjust parameters
Optionally adjust additional parameters: choose warm or cold palette, bright or muted, natural or synthetic. These parameters affect color generation from HSL ranges corresponding to the selected emotion.
Step 3: Generate and export
Click 'Generate Palette' to create a color palette. View key colors, secondary accents, and supporting shades. Read the explanation of why these colors fit your mood. Export the palette to JSON, copy CSS variables, or save to collection for reuse.

How to select emotion
Click on one of the emotion buttons (Joy, Calm, Energy, etc.) or enter your own emotion in the 'Other Emotion' field. For custom emotions, the tool uses an algorithm to find similar emotions and creates a mixed palette based on found matches.
How to customize palette
Use checkboxes in the 'Additional Options' section: 'Warm Palette' shifts colors toward warm tones, 'Bright Palette' increases saturation and brightness, 'Natural Palette' creates more natural, muted tones. You can combine multiple parameters.

How does color generation by emotions work?
The tool uses a mapping of emotions to HSL color ranges. Each emotion has predefined ranges of hue, saturation, and lightness based on color psychology principles. During generation, random colors are selected from these ranges, ensuring harmonious combinations that match the emotional state.
Can I use my own emotion?
Yes, you can enter any emotion in the 'Other Emotion' field. The tool analyzes the entered text, finds 3 most similar preset emotions, and creates a mixed palette based on them. This allows you to get unique color combinations for any emotional states.
How to save palette for reuse?
Use the 'Add to Collection' button to save the palette to browser's local storage. Palettes are saved in localStorage and available between sessions. You can also export the palette to a JSON file or copy CSS variables for use in your project.
